We are using Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW's) grammar program.
So far, we have learned that a noun is a person, place, thing, activity, or idea.
We have also learned that there are only three articles (a, an, the).

- make a Key Word Outline from a source text
- test an outline by using public speaking skills with partners and in small groups
- take an outline (after it has been tested) and turn it into a paragraph
- give a paragraph a Dramatic Title
- replace a weak verb with a Strong Verb
- combine two sentences using a Who-Which Clause
